Ten years in the service of memory.

Solace Technologies, Inc. today marks ten years since its founding — a decade in which the company grew from a three-person memorial-page service above a Pioneer Square print shop into the most trusted name in digital remembrance, serving families in all fifty states.

Founded in 2017 by data-infrastructure executive Katherine Voss, Solace built what the company calls "the quiet infrastructure of memory": memorial webpages tended for millions of families; funeral livestreams that carried services to relatives on six continents; hosted photo and voice archives; and digital estate services that settled the online lives of the departed with dignity, order, and care.

"For ten years we have been the company that holds the ladder. We learned, family by family, what remembrance actually asks of technology. It asks for patience. It asks for fidelity. And it asks you to keep exactly what you were given, exactly as it was given." — Katherine Voss, founder and chief executive officer, Solace

A decade, briefly

· 2017 — Solace is founded in Seattle. The first product, Solace Pages, hosts memorial sites with a promise of permanence.
· 2019 — Livestream services carry a grandmother's funeral to forty-one time zones in one afternoon; the team stops counting countries.
· 2021 — Digital estate services launch with estate-attorney partners across the Northwest.
· 2023 — Solace archives its billionth family photograph. The company's archival practice earns its first health-system partnerships.
· 2027 — More than nine in ten families who begin with Solace are referred by another family.

"The referral number is the only metric I have ever framed," Voss said. "Grief does not recommend lightly."

"The second decade will ask more of us," she added. "Families don't just want their memories kept anymore. They want them close. We intend to be ready."
